The Police have finally facilitated the exhumation of bodies of two persons that were reportedly killed by a one Jackson Muhindo Kasulenge who is currently on remand in Mubuku Government Prison.

The deceased are Mary Shamim Biira, the wife to the suspect and Jailesi Kabutusi Muhunga, who was also a brother to the suspect. Whereas Biira was reportedly killed in January, Kabutusi is said to have been killed in July.

Assistant Inspector General of Police, Moses Byaruhanga, the Director Police Health Services told the press shortly after superintending over the exhumation of the bodies that police had discovered evidence which corroborated with the confession statements from the suspect.

AIGP Byaruhanga revealed that this is a straight forward case and a report would be released as soon as possible, adding that police would do everything within its power to ensure that justice is served.

Mulhwahali Rujjumba, the father to deceased woman said they had identified their daughter and would subsequently bury her at their home in Isango of Kithoma – Kanyatsi town council in Bukonzo County West Constituency.

Kabutusi, whose body was also retrieved from a banana plantation, was buried at his home in Kamughobe village of Kisinga sub – county.

Earlier, witnesses had told Messiah Radio that Kabutusi’s body was found with a rope around his neck.

Apparently, Kasulenge had used the rope to pull the body of his dead brother to eventually go and bury it.

Mr. Julius Mukeri, the Chairperson L. C III for Kisinga Sub -county said it was unfortunate that the incident had happened within his area of jurisdiction.

He told the press that in his earlier communication with Kasulenge, the suspect told him that he had killed his wife because they had developed a domestic quarrel.

Mukeri urged the people to always seek advice from authorities whenever they develop some differences.
