Uganda Communications commission- UCC has donated and installed 10 Lenovo computers fully connected with internet to Rusese Skills Development Association.
The association which is based in Rusese ward in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council received the digitalized machines on Sunday December 03, 2023 and they were subsequently installed.
They were later commissioned over the weekend by the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Mr Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime and Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walusimbi.
Earlier while speaking to the press, Jackson Muhindo, the Association Chairperson said the computers will help in fighting loitering of students in the neighboring trading centres as well as promoting digital skills among the youth.
The State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Mr. Godfrey Kabbyanga asked the association to the computers for the purposes for which they were donated.
