Mr. Kato sounded the advice yesterday while speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview at his office at the district headquarters.

Kato blamed the vice on poverty, child neglect and lack of cooperation among parents in families.

The Executive Director observed the need for the parents to work with determination in an attempt to have poverty free families that are able to provide the basic needs to their children.

Robison Thembo, the Kasese District Probation Officer, blamed the parents for allegedly neglecting their children. He specifically blamed the men who for abandoning their parenting roles to the women.

He attributed the increased number of street kids in Kasese town to child neglect.
