The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has reiterated the need for the teachers to tactfully use their skills and resources to enable the learners excel academically.
The Prelate made the remarks today morning while officiating at the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a three – classroom block at Kamaiba Primary School in Kasese town.
The three – classroom block follows a donation of ten desktop computers that the Bishop delivered last week to the same institution.
Bishop Baluku revealed that he was motivated by the school’s last year’s performance in the Primary Leaving Examination results that prompted him to pray and lobby for more classrooms as a means of rewarding the institution.
The Man of God however encouraged the teachers to put to proper use the skills and resources at the centre of learning so that they help the learners to acquire knowledge and excel academically.
Rev. Can. Nelson Walina, the Diocesan Secretary applauded the Bishop for putting education among his key priorities, saying it was through education that the people of God would be holistically transformed.
Mr. Benon Dan Masereka, the Schools Head teacher commended the Bishop for his efforts towards causing development at the institution and pledged that he would supervise the construction works so that they are completed in 90 days as earlier directed by the Bishop.
