Over shillings 08 million was on Sunday collected during a mini-donors’ conference at St. Paul’s Kyasenda Roman Catholic Church in Karambi sub-county, Bukonzo County West in Kasese district.
The donors’ conference was aimed at soliciting funds to procure three plots of land on which to build a business house that would act as a source of income for the church.
Mr. William Mwanamwolho, the Chairperson for the Organizing Committee told the congregation that the church was looking for shillings 30.7 million for the noble cause.
Officiating at the function, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, who contributed shillings 3.8 million, appealed to the religious leaders to integrate the message of love for one another in their sermons as the country draws near to the political season.
Kabbyanga observed need for all political players including members of various political parties to exercise peaceful politics and avoid hate speech.
Earlier in his preaching, Rev. Fr. Francis Mwanje attached to St. John’s Minor Seminary –Kiburara, had asked Christians to live exemplary lives through exhibiting unity, peace and reconciliation in their various localities.
