Rev. Fr. John Baluku Isebayanda, the Curate at Kasanga Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Kasese has urged the people to set up their future ambitions so that they develop the courage to achieve them.
Fr. Isebayanda sounded the remarks on Friday morning while preaching to the congregation and pupils at St. Mary’s Junior School – Kinyateke in Kahokya sub-county during a thanksgiving mass to celebrate the existence of the institution of learning.
The thanksgiving giving ceremony also involved commissioning of a four classroom block for the Nursery Section and the attainment of a UNEB Centre Number for the Primary Leaving Examinations.
Fr. Isebayanda explained that setting up goals early enough enables one to grow up with the courage of attaining them through involving the relevant stakeholders including parents to offer guidance.
Rev. Fr. Clement Masereka who was the main celebrant of the mass asked the pupils to have role models that would inspire them to take up distinguished courses at various tertiary institutions of learning.
Mr. Adrien Lemele, a representative of the donors from the School and Tree Project based in Lyon, France, an organization that sponsored the construction of the building noted that education needs to be prioritized, describing it as the fountain of life among many communities in Africa.
Mr. Nyesio Bwambale Byamutima, the Director of St. Mary’s Junior School –Kinyateke encouraged the parents to enroll their children in schools as a way of fighting against illiteracy and ignorance.
