Schools operating boarding facilities in Kasese district have been reminded to intensify the security of learners through embracing some security measures as guided by the District Security Committee.
The reminder was sounded last evening by the Kasese Assistant RDC, Tien Tsongo while speaking to some educational stakeholders who had gathered at Kasese P.7 School to commission a team of Examiners ahead of the 2025 Mock marking exercise.
He cited the need for them to install security cameras and fire extinguishers, as some of the key instruments needed in running a boarding facility.
He used the same platform to warn the teachers against the practice of involving themselves in active politics when they are still civil servants, advising them to first resign if they must join politics.
