BY JEROME KULE BITSWANDE

The retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace, the Most Rev. Henry Luke Orombi has attributed the troubles that Kasese and the entire Rwenzori region have suffered to the wealth that the region boasts of.

Archbishop Orombi made the remarks today while preaching to the staff of Kasese District Local Government at the District Multipurpose Hall in Kasese town.

The retired Archbishop reiterated that the devil always wants to inflict misery in places of abundance. According to him, it is the reason Kasese has suffered violence for a long time.

He emphasized the need for the people of Kasese to embrace Jesus Christ and allow him to lead the way, adding that this will go a long way in bringing about peace in the community.

Archbishop Orombi also emphasized the need for leaders to desist from shifting blames but instead to assume responsibility for their actions and inactions.

The Man of God implored the people of Kasese to entrust their challenges to God well aware that He will enable them overcome their problems including poverty.

The Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Eliphaz Muhindi Bukombi expressed his gratitude to the Archbishop for visiting Kasese, adding that his visit would not leave not only the staff of Kasese District Local Government but also all the people of the district the same.
