Residents in Kasese asked to embrace animal rearing for economic liveihoods

BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

Members of the popular Family Life (Obutheke) Programme at South Rwenzori Messiah Radio have been urged to embrace animal rearing as a project that can boost their family incomes.

The advice was sounded today afternoon by Rev. Mathew Mbusa, the Station Manager while addressing the Program’s Coordinator during their meeting at Messiah Chapel in Kasese town.

According to Rev. Mbusa, setting up projects like poultry keeping and goat rearing among others would help the members to realize socio- economic transformation and hence be able to sustain their families.

Mr. Jackson Muhindo Buseku, the Program’s Host, who supplemented the Man of God’s advice, explained that as a group that aims at supporting the members in all spheres of life, every branch would be told to mandatorily establish a related business for its sustainability.

Mr. Apollo Kahungu, the Program’s Chairperson, implored the members to embrace the saving culture so that they are economically empowered to educate their children and enhance their livelihoods.
