A 15 year –old pupil at Katwe Quran Primary School in Katwe- Kabatoro Town Council, Kasese district has been attacked and killed by a crocodile from Lake Edward.
The Rwenzori East Police Spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime has identified the deceased Abdallah Katusiime.
According to him, the tragic incident happened yesterday at approximately 7:00pm after the Katusiime (now deceased) went to fetch water in Rwenjubu Cell and was attacked by a crocodile.
The Regional Police Mouthpiece also told Messiah Radio that after the incident, the marine police responded to the scene but being a night, the search didn’t yield positive results, adding that it is still ongoing to have the body retrieved from the Lake.
This is the 7th attack of the deadly crocodiles on the shores of Lake Edward in Katwe Kabatoro Police Division in Kasese District.
