Proprietor of Skyz Lounge in Kasese town arrested over allegations of attempted murder

Mr. Bernard Chance, the proprietor of Skyz Lounge in Kasese town is in police custody at Kasese Central Police Station on allegations of attempted murder.

SP Nelson Tumushime, the Regional Police Spokesperson says the suspect was arrested today morning together with his two bouncers as he was trying to knock one of his employees at Skyz Lounge after developing a misunderstanding.

According to Tumushime, Mr. Bernard Chance jumped into his vehicle and ran after the employee whose names the Police Mouthpiece did not disclose with an intention of ending her life.

This is not the first time Mr. Bernard Chance is arrested. Last year, he was arrested on allegations of punching a female employee at Kogere Restaurant in Kasese town on allegations on delaying to serve him the food he had ordered for. He was subsequently arrested, dragged to court and remanded to Mubuku Government Prison and later released on bail.

In a separate development, Tumushime also revealed that they were investigating circumstances surrounding a single serious accident that happened today morning at Bugoye in Bugoye sub-county, leaving yet unspecified number of people injured and rushed to different health facilities in Kasese town.

Mr. James Katalikawe Muthulhanda, the Chairperson L. C III for Bugoye sub-county told Messiah Radio that the injured persons who were travelling on a Canter Blue in colour from Ruboni/Nyakalingijjo  in Ibanda – Kyanya Town Council heading to Mulehe village in Katooke Parish , Bugoye sub-county for burial before meeting their fate.

According to him, the incident could have happened after the driver failed to negotiate a corner at Bugoye near the electricity plant.

    That Ben man may just be mentally unwell.
    He needs check up and may be treatment. Sometimes people have medical related problems that are not diagnosed
