Police assure security to primary seven candidates in Kasese

The police in the Rwenzori East Region, Kasese district have assured the primary seven candidates of good security as they sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations (P.L.E) today morning. 

SP Nelson Tumushime, the Regional Police Spokesperson told Messiah Radio today morning that during the process of distributing the examination materials to the 223 Examination centres across the district, they made sure that the security of the candidates was guaranteed especially.

Tumushime said following the recent attacks in some areas like Rugendabara, they had coordinated with other sister security agencies to secure the examination centres where the learners are conducting their exams from.

He called for calm among the communities and learners, noting that they were hoping for the successful completion of the examinations.

The Kasese District Principal Inspector of Schools, Sylvester Baluku said that they had a successful delivery of examination materials to the centres.

He, however, noted that some areas including Mbunga with poor roads saw a delayed delivery of the materials.
