The Kasese District Speaker, Hon. Johnson Mayora has revealed that the people whose names surfaced in the probe committee’s report on corruption allegations in the Service Commission must face the law.
Hon. Mayora sounded the revelation today afternoon while addressing the press at White House Gardens in Kasese town.
On December 03during the District Council sitting at Kasese Youth Polytechnic in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality, the members on the probe committee claimed that they had gathered evidence of the corruption scandals from both the public and other organs at the district.
The committee also observed that there was political interference in the operations of the Service Commission.
Now Mayora says by March next year, all the implicated persons will have faced the law.
According to him, should the technical wing of the district fail to handle the issue, council would invite other government bodies like State House Anti-corruption Unit and the office of the Inspector General of Government among others.
