The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev, Nason Baluku has reiterated his call to the parents to be packing food to their school going children if they are to realize good performance.
The Prelate repeated the call yesterday at Kyambogho Church of Uganda in Kyanzuki Parish, Nyamwamba Archdeaconry where he had gone to confirm 97 believers into the Anglican faith.
Bishop Baluku explained that a child who attends classes on an empty stomach can never perform up to their expectations.
He used the same platform to caution the parents to desist from the mushrooming habit of giving off their daughters for marriage at a tender age for the purposes of acquiring wealth.
Earlier in his preaching, the Bishop had appealed to the Christians to turn to Christ as the only one to relieve them of their burdens as scripted in the Biblical Book of Mathew 11:25 – 30.
He lectured the congregations on the different forms of burdens worrying the people. These include sicknesses, greed, marriage, parenting, poverty, fear, dissatisfaction and spiritual blindness among others.
