One knocked dead in Kasese

A 34- year – old man has been knocked dead by the yet to be identified motor vehicle at Mwaro along the Kasese – Fort-portal Highway in Kasese Municipality.

The deceased has been identified by the family relatives as John Kusemererwa, who has been working as porter at Kigoro Trading Centre and Mubuku Irrigation Settlement Scheme Farm Stores.

His father, Mr. Francis Sunday told Messiah Radio that the incident happened last night a few meters from the deceased’s home.

Mr. James Mwiruwabo, the in-charge at Kasese Municipal Health Centre III where the body of the deceased was taken by police for a postmortem examination told our reporter that Kusemererwa succumbed to injuries inflicted on him by the yet to be identified motor vehicle

The Senior Clinical Officer warned drivers against the practice of running away after causing an accident, arguing that such an inhuman act was a sign of irresponsibility and leaves behind many unanswered questions.

Johnson Ayebale, the deceased’s young brother while speaking to our reporter in a sorrowful mood disclosed that Kusemererwa was a married man and survived by three children.
