Ms Enid Ninsima, the Gombolola Internal Security Officer (GISO) for the Central Division confirmed the development in her remarks to the councilors during their council sitting at the Division’s Council hall.

However, Ninsima did not reveal the details of the suspect, arguing that the act could interfere with the investigations into the matter but the according to her, the accused person is being held at Kasese Central Police Station.

She also used the same platform to reveal that 25 members of the GAZA boys’ group that has been terrorizing most communities especially grabbing people’s phones and hand -bags are in police custody at the same police station.

Today’s Council sitting was dominated by issues related to grabbing of government land and developed without the councilors’ knowledge.

Mr. Martin Safari, the Central Division L. C III Chairperson confirmed that they were having many complaints related to land grabbing, adding that they would investigate them and reclaim government land.

Hon, John Kisembo Siriwayo, the Municipal Councilor representing the Railway Ward to Kasese Municipal Council noted that the issue needs the intervention of all the leaders for redress.
