The Rwenzururu king, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has said that he is hopeful that the Ugandan security agencies will defeat the Allied Democratic Forces that emanate from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Omusinga made the remarks today while addressing the congregation at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish during a mass in which the royal family was returning thanks to the lord.

Omusinga explained that he was hopeful that the security forces would end the ADF remnants that are terrorizing the people so that peace prevails and people embrace development programs in their areas.

He urged the religious leaders to amplify the message of peace building and stability to the people through their sermons during fellowships and other platforms that they use to interact with the people.

The cultural leader also observed that Rwenzori region being rich with resources, the proper utilization would be a basis of development for building the kingdom.

He applauded the Catholic Church for initiating the construction of Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital and the new cathedral church and other development projects.

He, however, encouraged health workers to always be hospitable to the patients who seek their attention especially the expectant mothers in labor.

Earlier, Rev. Fr. AnyasioMbusa, while preaching the gospel, challenged the people to work hard so that they get themselves out of poverty. Fr. Mbusa explained that the Christian life needs to be comprised of both physical and spiritual wealth.
