The Rwenzururu King (Omusinga) Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has implored his subjects to jealously participate in the forthcoming 2024 National Population and Housing Census.

Uganda is set to conduct the National Population and Housing Census 2024 with the reference night being 9th May 2024. The Census will be done in 10 days starting on 9th May 2024 to 19th May 2024. The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, launched the activity on December 12th, 2023.

Addressing the press today morning at his Kamaiba based Royal Palace in Kasese town, the Omusinga explained that the census exercise would enable government to effectively plan for the development of the country basing on the number of her citizens.

According to him, the Royal family would be the first to be counted on the very first day of the exercise, a reason he has called upon his subjects to embrace such a government exercise.

The Rwenzururu Cultural leader used the same platform to discourage the masses from some myths and misconceptions about government programmes.
