The Rwenzururu King (Omusinga) Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has made a few changes in his cabinet.

The changes were announced today during a cabinet meeting that was held at the King’s residence in Kamaiba, Central Division in Kasese Municipality.

The new changes have seen Rt. Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga Kighoma retired from his position of Prime Minister due to his ill health and replaced by his deputy, the Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale.

At the same meeting, Omusinga announced the appointment of Rt. Hon. Patrick Baluku Muhesi as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Planning and Development while Rt. Hon. Juliet Best Bakoko was appointed second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Gender, Rehabilitation and Disability Affairs.

However, the Omusinga appreciated Rt. Hon. Muranga for his dedicated service to the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu from the time he was away, adding that he served in both challenging times and new dispensation that began last year on March 28.

Subsequently, while taking their oaths, the new appointees pledged allegiance to the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, the Omusinga and all his successors.
