Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu looks for 320 million to facilitate this year’s coronation anniversary of the King

The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) is looking for shillings 320 million to facilitate the activities of this year’s coronation anniversary of Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma slated for October 19.

The 58th coronation anniversary which is expected to be officiated over by the President of the of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will take place at Golf Course along Kilembe Road in Bulembia Division of Kasese Municipality.

Rt. Hon. Noah Nzaghale, the Speaker of the House of Representatives who also doubles as the Vice Chairperson for the Organizing Committee revealed that the said shillings 320 million would cater for the venue and pavilion, rehabilitation of the shrines, catering services, palace welfare, arts and crafts, transport, entertainment and resource mobilization.   

Other items to be spent on are accommodation, publicity, issuance of invitation cards, peace and security.

He made the revelations today afternoon during a meeting in which the members of the organizing committee were being officially commissioned at Rwenzori International University in Kasese town.

Rt. Hon. Nzaghale encouraged the committee members to dedicate enough time to the event so that it becomes colorful.

In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, the Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, explained that the committee comprising 26 members was appointed by the Omusinga himself.

It is chaired by the Rt. Hon. Constantine Bwambale who is deputized by Rt. Hon. Noah Nzaghale. Other members on the committee are Hon. Geoffrey Kanyonyi as the Secretary, Hon. Patrick Baluku Muhesi (as the Treasurer while Rt. Hon. Baritazale is the Advisor.

RT. Hon. Baritazale encouraged the members to comply with the Kingdom’s policies, codes and procedures.

The Deputy Prime Minister also urged the committee members to design mechanisms of mobilizing for funds both locally, nationally and internationally.
