Mr. Jackson Mbaju Kathika, the Coordinator for National Unity Platform in the Rwenzori Sub region says the people must appreciate that the ruling National Resistance Movement has outlived its usefulness and can no longer effectively deliver any services to the people of Uganda.
Kathika adds that people ought to rally behind the call for a change of leadership especially at the presidency of this country adding that it only after the NRM has being voted out of power that Uganda will register meaningful and sustainable development.
He made the remarks yesterday while receiving Jocknus Masereka Mutsangya from Rukooki sub -county who defected from the ruling NRM to the opposition NUP.
Mr. Mutsangya, after being received into the party, asked the NRM leaders to immediately erase his name from the party register that was until yesterday being updated.
He told the press that his defection was informed by the numerous unfulfilled pledges from the incumbent regime.
