The Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kime, who also doubles as a Parliamentary hopeful for Bukonzo County West in the NRM primary elections, has transferred his particulars from Kasese Municipality to Mpondwe – Lhubiriha Town Council in Kasese district during the ongoing exercise of updating and displaying the party register.
Kabbyanga, who was previously in the yellow book of Namhuga South in Bulembia Division, has had his particulars transferred to Rusese A Cell.
He was officially entered in the yellow book at his new station today morning by the party Village Registrar, Mr. Ainea Muhindo.
Speaking to the press shortly after being registered, the Minister urged party Registrars at all levels to allow students and other people aged 16 and above to get enrolled into the party registers.
He, however, observed that the exercise that started on March 13 and is expected to end tomorrow March 17, 2024 has been characterized by a low a turn-up of members due to lack of enough sensitization.
Earlier, the Rusese A cell registrar, Ainea Muhindo, had earlier told the press that the turn up of NRM members thronging his centre to update their memberships was still very low.
At around 11:27am today, Muhindo had registered only 15 new NRM members.
