Minister Kabbyanga Congratulates Gen Mbadi

BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

The Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime has congratulated Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi upon his recent appointment to cabinet.

Gen Mbadi was until Thursday last week the Chief of Defense Forces; a position which has now been occupied by First Son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The Kasese-born General was then appointed minister of state for trade to replace Harriet Ntabazi from Bundibugyo who was appointed Senior Presidential Advisor.

Mbadi’s appointment stirred mixed reactions with others arguing that his appointment to the junior ministerial position was a demotion.

But Kabbyanga dismisses the argument and explains that what is important that the president continues to show confidence in the highly decorated military officer through giving him new responsibilities.

He added that it is great news that Kasese now has two ministers who will be sitting in cabinet every Monday.

Kabbyanga, who was yesterday speaking to the Press during an interview about the new changes in the Cabinet, appealed to the people to appreciate the fact that the constitution bestows upon the president powers to change ministers at will.

He cautioned the people of Kasese against engaging in empty talk.
