Members of the Team We Can Association in Kinyamaseke Town Council, Bukonzo County East in Kasese district are seeking audience with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni so that they explain to him their vision.

Founded in June 2022, the association accommodates every Ugandan as long as they have a vision of having fair and poverty free society that is full of opportunities and creativity.

Speaking during the launch of the association over the weekend, its Chairperson, Damalie Tibwitha, said the group which was created to bring people together so that they engage in wealth creation programs especially the Parish Development Model, Emyooga and Women Empowerment among others, explained that their current prayer was to meet President Museveni.

Through their report read to the Chief Guest, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kime who is the Minister of State of ICT and National Guidance, the members said meeting the President would help them gain from his vast experience, wisdom and big heart as far as fighting poverty is concerned.

They also request the President to declare Kinyamaseke Town Council a presidential model village in terms of socio-economic transformation so that they are enabled to achieve their vision.

Responding to their concerns, Minister Kabbyanga pledged to deliver their request to the relevant Ministry so that an arrangement is made to have them meet the president. He, however, challenged them to embrace the idea of multiplying the members’ savings coupled with involving themselves in government’s pro-people programs.
