Lay readers in South Rwenzori Diocese have been encouraged to always operate within their levels while serving the Lord.
The encouragement was sounded today by the Diocesan Secretary, the Rev. Can. Nelson Walina while officiating at the closure of a three – day retreat and refresher training of the Lay readers that was held at Kamaiba Youth Centre in Kasese town.
Can. Walina stressed that when people operate at their own levels, they excel in the service of Christ and relate well with the Christians.
He also observed need for the spouses of the Church leaders to always work as a team as well as helping their partners effectively perform their duties.
The Church Minister asked the Lay readers to always adhere to the directives from the offices that are above them as well as complying with the policies from the Bishop’s offices.
Rev. Girison Baluku Kibethe, the Assistant Sub-dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral urged the Lay readers to guide the Christians at their respective local churches.
