Mr. Jovinal Muke, the Kyondo Sub-county Chairperson has expressed concern over what he calls deteriorating Kikonzo cultural values among the Rwenzururu Kingdom subjects.
Muke specifically lashed at the parents for accepting to receive dowries and holding giveaway parties from recreational centres dubbed gardens instead of their original sitting rooms and at their homes.
Speaking to Messiah yesterday, Muke urged the parents to rethink about talking to their children and also appealed to the religious leaders to sensitize the masses about the need to embrace good cultural values.
The Sub-county Boss used the same podium to encourage the youth to embrace hard work as means of curtailing crimes and domestic violence cases from their respective communities.
