Kithulha Care Initiative puts in efforts to address food shortage

Local leaders and residents of Bulembia Division in Kasese Municipality have applauded the leadership of Kithulha Care Initiative for donating to them a second batch of the fast maturing stem cuttings.

The cassava stem cuttings totaling to 70 sacks were yesterday morning distributed to the beneficiaries at different places including Nyakabingo III Ward, Namhuga, Katiri and Kyanjuki.

While delivering the donation, Mr. Francis Mugisa Kithulha, the sponsor of Kithulha Care Initiative Care explained that the programme was solely intended to boost food security among the residents.

He encouraged the residents to take full care of the cassava stem cuttings and promised that his organization would be making follow-ups on the beneficiaries.

Mr. John Baptist Bukombi, the Nyakabingo III Ward Chairperson, Mr. Pascal Muhindo Museroro and Sunday Salveri, the Municipal Councilor representing Nyakabingo III Ward hailed Kithulha Care Initiative for the donation that they described as timely.

Some of the beneficiaries applauded Kithulha Care Initiative for the donation which they said would go a long way to relieve them of the challenge of food insecurity.
