Kasese District Football Association (KDFA) has banned Kisinga Sub-county Football Team from participating in the forthcoming semi-finals for the Dr. Rude Tournament slated for January 03, 2024.
The ban follows a petitioned dated December 20, 2023 by Kinyamaseke Town Council Team indicating that Kisinga Sub-county Team used Godwin Mumbere Kiyayu, a resident of Kinyamaseke Town Council.
During a harmonization meeting that sat yesterday at Jeliza Hotel in Kasese town and chaired by the Chairperson for KDFA, Mr. Moses Asiki and Mr. Amon Ainebyoona, A FUFA delegate, it was resolved that despite winning the competitions for Zone A that were played at Kinyamaseke Playground on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kisinga Sub-county Football Team went contrary to the game rules by using a player who is not a resident in the lower local government.
