Joshua Baluku Kibikyabu, one of the people seeking election of the position of Bwera Sub- County Chairperson in Bukonzo County West, Kasese district has reported fear for his life after allegedly receiving repeated threatening calls from yet to be identified people.
Mr. Kibikyabu, who was recently nominated by the Electoral Commission on an independent ticket, says in addition to telephone calls, he has physically witnessed people threatening and intimidating him, a reason why he has publicly published the information regarding the alleged fear for his life.
He made the public outcry yesterday during a press conference that was held at his home in Bwera Sub-County after allegedly receiving repeated calls from yet to be identified people, abusing him for having shown interest for the position of Sub- County Chairperson.
He notified the media that he was compiling a list of phone calls that are threatening him before handing it to police for investigations and establish the motive behind.
He advised his supporters to observe unity and peace as they mobilize votes for him.
Mr. Kibikyabu quickly notified the media that if elected, he would improve service delivery in the sectors of health, education and infrastructure among others.
