Kasese Woman Parliamentary hopeful tips parents on parenting

Kasese Woman Parliamentary hopeful, Marline Mary Kabugho Kighotha has urged parents to protect their girl children from immoral practices as they celebrate the forthcoming Christmas.

Kabugho was addressing the congregation during a function in which the listeners’ groups of the four radio stations in Kasese were forming a consortium in Mahango sub county, Bukonzo County East.

The groups’ coming together is to have a common voice geared towards promoting socio-economic transformation, fighting domestic violence and encouraging the welfare of the members ‘households.

Kabugho who was among the invited guests at the function, told the parents to ensure that their girl children are protected from practices that would ruin their future.

According to Kabugho during events like Christmas, girls become vulnerable due to the demand for petty items from men.

The Kasese Deputy RDC in -charge of Bukonzo County, Lt. Maate Magwara told the gathering to ensure that their children are put in schools so that they attain formal education that would enable them to become good people in the country.

He implored them to utilize all the institutions that government has put in place because they offer free education.
