Kasese Woman MP warns against politics of hate and divisionism

The Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Florence Kabugho has cautioned the people of Kasese against politics of hate and divisionism which she said are a hindrance to development.

Hon. Kabugho instead appeals to the people of Kasese to embrace politics of peace and unity which have potential to propel the district’s development agenda.

She made the remarks on Tuesday during her campaign rally at Kibiri trading centre in Muhokya sub-county where she noted that there was a time some leaders in the area blocked her from extending a given service to a group of widows simply because she belongs to a political party different from that of some area leaders.

The Kasese district woman legislator expressed her willingness to work with all the people despite their divergent political affiliations and urged them to vote her into office for the second parliamentary term so that she builds on the various strides achieved in her first term.

She then proceeded to Busara and preached a related message before being majestically welcomed at Mithi Ibiri trading centre by a huge crowd that had braced the heavy rains to listen to her campaign message.

At this point, Hon Florence Kabugho committed herself to also set-up skills’ centres to train young people especially young boys in welding and upholstery before they handed a bunch of matooke in appreciation for the services she has rendered to the people in that area.

As for Geofrey Sibendire Bigogo, the FDC flagbearer for the position of Kasese district chairperson, he promised to prioritise the development of talents especially sports which he said has potential to be a huge source of income for the talented young men and women of the district.

Meanwhile,Aloysious Baguma Kighema who is the FDC flagbearer for Busongora County South parliamentary seat promised to lobby the central government to ensure that electricity is quickly extended to the people in the constituency.
