Kasese residents warned against presenting forged academic papers if they intend to join UPDF

The Kasese Deputy RDC in-charge of Bukonzo County, Lt. Maate Magwara has cautioned the people who are intending to join the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) against presenting forged academic papers.

The UPDF started receiving application letters for those interested in joining the force yesterday and in Kasese, the responsible personnel are stationed at the RDC’s office.

Applications for the Rwenzori region, including the districts of Kasese, Bundibugyo, Kabarole, Bunyangabu, Ntoroko, Kyenjojo, Kyegegwa, Kamwenge, Kitagwenda, and Fort Portal City, will be received at the district headquarters where UPDF personnel have been stationed and ready to receive them.

The process of receiving the applications will last until June 01, 2024.

Now, Magwara says they will not tolerate anyone who might be found bearing forged documents during the recruitment exercise

The Deputy RDC also puts it categorically clear that they are looking for only Ugandan citizens who are physically fit that do not have any criminal records and must have completed senior four between 2022 and 2023 and in the age bracket of between 18 and 22.

However, the applicants will be required to fill a form that has been uploaded on the UPDF’s website www.updf.co.ug which will be attached with a hand written application, and recommendations from the L.C III Chairperson, GISO, DISO, L. C I Chairperson and the RDC. ENDS
