Kasese Residents tipped on aggressive tourism marketing

The National Chairperson of the Rwenzori Theluji Festival, the Rev. Eng. Gabriel Fataki has urged the people to embrace innovative ways to enhance tourism marketing for the various sites within the district.

Rev Fataki cites vehicle owners who could adopt the use of stickers on their vehicles to create awareness about the various tourism destination sites that the district, and the entire Rwenzori sub region, is endowed with.

He argues that the people of Kasese continue to do very little in regards to aggressive tourism marketing yet the sector has capacity to transform the lives of the people of Kasese since it can create enormous employment opportunities.

He implored all people of Kasese especially those working in the transport sector to embrace aggressive tourism marketing.

The man of God was on Saturday speaking to the guests who had turned up at the official opening of Elite Peak Hotel in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town COUNCIL.

Rev. Fataki also commended Mr Latif Baluku the proprietor Elite Peak Hotel for establishing a magnificent hotel that will enhance hospitality services in the border town.

The grand opening ceremony presided over by the Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Mr Martin Mugara accompanied by the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime and Minister of Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Kyofatogabye Kabuye.
