Kasese residents called upon to end domestic violence from their families

BY JOACKIM KULE

The Kasese District Community Development Officer has described domestic violence as one of the leading factors limiting the effective implementation of government programs in Kasese district.

Mr. William Bwambale Capacity made the remarks today afternoon while speaking to our reporter during an exclusive at his office in Rukooki.

Bwambale explained that domestic violence has been cited as the most dangerous vice that hampers development at both household and community levels.

He noted that families experiencing domestic violence fail to embrace government pro-people projects like Emyooga, Parish Development Model among others because the husband and the wife never come to an agreement on how best to benefit from such programs.

The District Community Development Officer emphasized the need for families to always use amicable means to settle their differences reiterating that violence denies couples an opportunity to generate and discuss development ideas.
