Kasese Municipality MP seeks re-election, launches his campaign manifesto

The Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Ferigo Kambale who is seeking re-election has today officially launched his campaign manifesto, highlighting a major focus on beautifying the town through improving roads connecting to all communities.

Hon. Kambale who launched his next five year campaign manifesto at the Rwenzori square in Kasese Town said that in addition to the improved roads within the current term and following  their performance, government  has been convinced to add more shillings 76 billion to work on other roads within   the urban center. 

He explained that due to the proper utilization of USMID funds, the Municipal Council was ranked the first, qualifying it to benefit from phase II that will be appropriated next year.

The roads include Rwisambya, Kayisiga, cathedral, Kabira, Kizungu, Mawa market, Mutanywana and Kyebambe among others which will be constructed along with the lighting systems.

He mentioned that within the budget, they would also work on the drainage systems to curtail flooding water from straying into the communities.

The legislator also told the people that government had secured shillings 96 billion for working on river Nyamwamba so that is prevented from flooding into communities, destroying property and leading to loss of lives. 

Kambale unveiled plans to improve the socio-economic lives of the people by equipping health facilities with the necessary machines to support the delivery of expectant mothers.

The Kasese Municipality NRM Chairman, Mr. Selvano Kiiro Mulhondi, called for peaceful campaigns since the party has five candidates competing for the flag.

He appealed to the participating candidates to develop the heart of rallying behind whoever will have been chosen to hold the party flag.
