Kasese Municipal NRM youth leaders threaten to sue their fellows on allegations of forgery

BY OBED KULE KITHENDE KIBAYA

Concerned NRM Youth leaders in Kasese Municipality have threatened to sue a yet to be identified group of people in the urban centre on allegations of forgery.

The youth leaders argue that they have seen their names on a document that is making rounds on some social media platforms indicating that they are in support of the sole candidatures of the current party flag bearers, something that they deny and take as baseless.

They sounded the remarks today afternoon during a press conference that was held at Uhuru 50 Gardens in Kasese town.

Moris Mumbere, the NRM Youth Publicity Secretary for Bulembia Division says he wonders why his name was included on document dated December 30, 2024 even when he is innocent about the matter.

Ellen Biira from Nyamwamba Division says she recently received a phone call from a yet to be identified person asking for the names of the youth leaders in her area little knowing that they would be used for one’s political interests.

Jethro Bwambale, the Kirembe Ward NRM Youth Chairperson in the Central Division confesses that on December 30, 2024, a group of youth reached his home with papers and asked him to append his signature.

According to him, when he inquired about the content contained in the papers, they pulled only shillings 10,000 for him to sign and subsequently got surprised when he landed on the said document with the content that he does not completely support.
