Kasese leaders express concern over the number of street kids

A section of leaders in Kasese town is expressing concern over the increase of street kids who continue to loiter on the various streets of Kasese town.

Pastor Rosette Muhindo of Revival Healing Center opines that it is important for all people reflect thoroughly about what is forcing children on the streets yet they should presumably grown in their homes.

Pr Muhindo, who was speaking during the fundraising drive aimed at generating 50 million shillings to purchase church land, said once the land is procured; it would also accommodate a learning centre to equip street kids with skills necessary for them to lead decent lives.

She revealed that she wants to enter into partnership with Help me to grow (HEMTOG), a non-governmental organization that has been working on the rehabilitation of street kids to identify them and restore hope amongst them.

Mr. Leonard Imanishimwe who was the chief guest at the church fund drive was represented by Mr. Neckson Thaheramboko who asked parents to always advise their children to always embrace church activities to grow spiritually upright.

He delivered shillings 500,000 from Mr. Imanishimwe towards the fund drive.
