Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament sympathizes with families that lost their relatives in Kiteezi incident

The Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho has sympathized with the Kasese based families that lost their beloved ones in the Kiteezi incident that left over 30 people dead.

The incident happened over the weekend in Wakiso district.

Yesterday, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango confirmed the development, adding that 35 people were still missing and the search and rescue operations for them were underway.

After hearing that some of the victims of the incident are from Kasese district, Hon. Kabugho today rushed to the offices of the Uganda Red Cross Society and Kampala Capital City Authority to request for the release of the rescued people from Kasese including Gilbert Mumbere.

The legislator who acknowledged that she had personally seen the traumatized Mumbere appealed to the people who could be having knowledge about the whereabouts of the relatives to open up so that he and others who are yet to be identified are relocated and supported.
