The installation ceremony of the new president for Rotary Kasese Snow Peaks Club highlighted the importance of improving waiting shelters at various health centers in Kasese Municipality.
In his inaugural speech, Rotarian Isaya Baluku, the new president revealed that a visit to Railway and Saluti health centers was eye-opening, highlighting the glaring lack of waiting shelters at these facilities.
During his installation ceremony at Rwenzori International Hotel last night, Mr Baluku assured club members that one of his key priorities over the next year would be constructing a waiting shelter at Railway health center III, budgeted at about 21 million shillings.
Outgoing president, Abdallah Afan highlighted the club’s significant contributions to community well-being, notably through spearheading and supporting government initiatives like mass immunization programs.
