Health workers at Karusandara Health Centre III in Busongora County South, Kasese district have decried inadequate space to accommodate the overwhelming number of patients who throng the facility seeking medical services.
According to them, the facility doesn’t have enough structures to allow them admit a god number of patients.
Following the incident, they have requested for an ambulance to help them manage some referrals and also handle emergencies.
Ms Christine Nziabake, a Midwife at the facility made the revelation yesterday in her report that she presented to the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho who had visited the centre to the assess service delivery situation among the community members.
In addition to insufficient space at the facility Nziabake also reported another challenge of understaffing compared to the number of patients who visit the centre on a daily basis.
Responding to the concerns, Hon. Kabugho pledged to write a comprehensive report and present to the relevant offices for action as well as lobbying for the community members to benefit the more from government programs meant to improve the infrastructure among others.
