A section of Head teachers from Nyakabingo sub-county in Kasese district have blamed government for allegedly failing to create conducive learning environments in some schools.

The Head teachers sounded the remarks today during their beginning of year meeting that was held at the Sub-county Headquarters.

The meeting which was organized by the Sub-county leadership was aimed at laying out some strategies of improving academic standards in the area.

Henry Bwambale Kyondo, the Head teacher at Bishop Egidio Primary School in Kyambogho parish argued that government had failed to prioritize the idea of putting up enough structures to facilitate the learning of pupils.

He told the meeting that at his school, the primary seven candidates do not have a permanent classroom, hence resorting to using a temporary building that is not worthy accommodating the learners.

Mr. Kyondo also accused government for allegedly not minding about low staffing levels in schools.

Rabson Kithengere, the Head teacher at St. Peter’s Kibalya Primary School argues that the latrine stances at his institution are dilapidated.

Mr. Neckson Kithengere, the Head teacher at Nyakabingo Primary School who also doubles as the Zonal leader, appeals for allowances for the teachers working from the hard – to – reach areas

Stanley Kule Kamusokwere , a teacher at Bishop Egidio Primary School says the parents too lack some awareness about their roles in the education sector.

The Nyakabingo Sub-County Chairperson, Charles Thembo Kahitisani, however, asks the teachers to endure the challenges that they encounter in the execution of their duties, pledging to report some of the presented challenges to the responsible offices.

He observes the need for the Head teachers to supervise their staff and learners so that success is achieved at all schools based in the sub-county.
