Fr. Mumbere challenges Christians to be humble

BY ISAAC MUMBERE

The Curate at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Kasese has challenged believers to be humble if they are to fulfill the essence of why Jesus Christ was born.

Rev. Fr. Ednus Mumbere, who was officiating at the second mass during Christmas , noted that humility is a significance of welcoming the birth of Christ.

Fr. Mumbere told the congregation that Christ has come to bring joy, healing and relieving the masses of their burdens so that they can live happy lives on earth.

He tipped Christians to embrace sharing the good things that God does for them with their relatives in their respective communities.

The man of God also told the people never to live miserable and hopeless lives even when the savior has come to resolve them. Meanwhile, the Bishop of the Outreach Deliverance Church under the Born Again Faith, Bishop Moses Thabugha also appealed to the people to welcome Christ in a positive manner.

He reminded them of the five core reasons as to why God sent his son to the earth.

He mentioned that among many others, Jesus came to showcase the manhood of God to the people, saving them from sins and giving them hope that they will at one time meet him.
