The deceased was found trapped in the wreckage of a double cabin pickup Hilux registration number UAM 450V, which he was driving.
It is suspected that Tibihika, at around 2am today, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road and overturned several times.
Tibihika was at the time of the accident driving alone in the car, according to the North Kyoga Regional Police spokesperson, SP Patrick Jimmy Okema.
Okema said crime scene officers documented the accident scene, and the body of the deceased was removed and taken to Lira Regional Referral Hospital’s mortuary pending post-mortem examinations.
While preliminary findings suggest that the deceased could have been speeding, police said investigators are yet to find concrete evidence.
Tibihika is the fourth person to succumb to an accident in three days. On Saturday, a minibus coaster registration UBL 851Z collided head-on with a Fuso truck registration UBA 200J, leaving three dead on spot and 60 passengers injured.
