The Forum for Democratic Change –FDC party in Kasese district has blamed the security agencies for allegedly not taking action on the suspected ADF rebels that have so far carried out three attacks on people across the district in a spate of three months.
On Tuesday evening, suspected ADF rebels attacked a tourist vehicle, killing two tourists and their guide along the Katwe – Katunguru road near Lake Nyamunuka in the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Now, Kasese District FDC Chairperson, Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku says as a party they are concerned about the attacks that have been happening in the district that has security organs whose role is to protect the people and their property.
According to him, the security organs would have come up with a comprehensive report about the far they have gone with fighting the suspected ADF rebels that have continued terrorizing the district.
He suggests to government to reintroduce the system of training the local population some skills of guarding themselves against enemies and empowering them with the necessary military equipment so that they help the security personnel to fight against the bad elements from the community.
But Lt. Joe Walusimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner who also heads the security committee says the UPDF soldiers and police are jointly working hard and not sleeping to flash the suspected ADF rebels out of the district. .
He calls upon the community members to remain calm as security does its work of chasing the wrong elements out of the district.
