FDC concludes receiving expression of interest forms from her party members intending to vie for elective positions during the 2026 elections

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Kasese Branch has concluded the exercise of receiving filled expression of interest forms from her members intending to vie for different elective positions on the party ticket.

During a National Council Meeting that was held on December 15, 2023 in Kampala and organized by the Najjanankumbi faction, the party officials led by Engineer Patrick Oboi Amuriat, the FDC President and Secretary General, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, it was resolved that all the people intending to vie   for the different elective positions in the 2026 General Elections on the party ticket should officially declare their interests, an exercise that has been concluded today in Kasese district.

The two – month long exercise has seen the Kasese FDC offices located on Alexander Street flooded with some party members.

Among the people who returned the filled forms today included Mr. Robert Franco Centenary who is vying for the Kasese Municipality Parliamentary seat.

Accompanied by Mr. Robert Jackson Balyebuga, Centenary handed over the forms to the District FDC Chairperson, Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku, who sanctioned him to go the Municipality to consult other party members about his intention to vie for the parliamentary seat ahead of the vetting exercise slated for next year.

Mr. Kabuku, who also returned the forms expressing his interest to contest for the Mpondwe –Lhubiriha L. C III Chairpersonship, warned all the aspirants against turning consultative meetings into campaign rallies.

In his remarks, Centenary pledged to follow the party rules and regulations while looking for the flag that he hopes to win and subsequently lift higher up to the Parliament of Uganda.

At the same time, Mr. Neckson Baluku Mbayahi and Mr. Augustine Musema returned their forms expressing their interests in the Bukonzo County East Parliamentary seat while Mr. Aloysius Baguma Kiyema returned his affirming to contest for the Busongora County South Parliamentary seat.
