Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga, the Chancellor for Makerere University and NRM candidate for the position of Bukonzo County West Member of Parliament has observed the need for the parents to work closely with the teachers in ensuring quality education of their children.
Dr. Kiyonga sounded the remarks yesterday in Kitholhu Sub-county where he had gone for his campaign rally.
The former Defence Minister also told the electorate to rally behind President Museveni and all his flagbearers because he cares for all the people without discrimination.
He encouraged the electorate to be united, work hard and with the desired discipline.
About security, the emphasized security meetings at Sub-counties chaired by the Sub-county Chairperson and officers from the security operatives.
During the meeting and rally, scores of FDC supporters including JockusKalyatha from Kiraro village and Manzale Kambasu defected to the NRM party, pledging that they would vote for Dr. Kiyonga so that he passes with 90% percentage pass.
Some of the people who were in the meeting, hailed Dr. Kiyonga for promoting peace in the mountainous areas, working on the issues surrounding Lhubiriha market, lobbying for Bwera Government General Hospital, safe and clean drinking water ad health centre IIs in the mountainous areas.
