Believers in Christ in South Rwenzori Diocese have been implored to take pleasure in love, truth and trust as they do God’s work.

The remarks were sounded yesterday afternoon by the Church of Uganda Provincial Director of Missions and Outreach, the Rev. Simon Peter Ddembe Lya Yesu while preaching to thousands of Christians at the ongoing Convention at St. Paul’s Cathedral Grounds in Kasese town.

The four – day Convention that officially started yesterday and will end on Sunday November 17 is running under the theme, “Conforming to the truth of God’s word for transformation,” drawn from the Biblical Book of Romans 12:1-2.

Rev. Ddembe Lya Yesu, who asked the Christians to allow their bodies to be used by the Holy Spirit, said it was good for them to work for God through demonstrating His love to the neighbors and family members.

The Church Minister who quoted the Biblical Book of Mathew 11: 25-30, wondered why some of the women had lost love for themselves as exhibited by the physical things that they add onto their bodies like the nails, breasts and hair among others.

He called for exemplary movement as they work for Christ and serve him diligently.

He used the same platform to warn the youth against the practice of seeking services of witchdoctors while at the same time praying to God to give them good partners and children, describing the act as syncretism and double standards.

On his part, the South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku as the congregation to believe in prayer than doubting the Word of God, commanding the power of healing to the entire Christians.
