Christians cautioned against the spirit of vengeance

Christians have been cautioned against the spirit of vengeance and holding grudges as they go about their lives.

Rev. Simon Masereka says Uganda is grappling with a high crime rate partly because many people tend to hold grudges and are adamant to forgive whenever they are wronged.

In his homily at St Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town today, Rev Masereka argued that forgiveness ought to be part and parcel of the life of any citizen for the country to realize peaceful co-existence.

The service also involved a thanksgiving ceremony as Kasese Secondary School was extending her gratitude to God for the good performance registered last year’s performance at both O and A’ levels.

Rev. Ven. Charles Mbusa, Sub dean for St. Paul’s Cathedral who commended the love shown by the above institution urged the young people of the school going age to put their trust in the lord so that they continue to register success in their educational journey.

Mr. Augustine Muserero, the Kasese SS head teacher said as part of thetheir strategic plan for 2024 -2028, they are committed supporting the community in reducing illiteracy levels within the district.
