Bwera Government General Hospital in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Town Council, Bukonzo County West in is stuck with an unclaimed body.
Enos Bwambale, the Mortuary Attendant confirmed to Messiah Radio that the body is of a 30 –year-old Masudi Mumbere who was brought to the health facility on Monday at 4:00pm.
Messiah Radio has learnt that a woman who pretended to be a relative to the deceased immediately escaped from the facility after confirming that Mumbere had been admitted.
According to Bwambale, the woman who escaped from the facility disguised as if she was going back home to collect the items to use at the hospital but never returned.
Bwambale revealed that Mumbere who passed on yesterday at 4:00am was medically diagnosed with Peritonitis. Peritonitis is a redness and swelling (inflammation) of the lining of your belly or abdomen. This lining is called the peritoneum. It is often caused by an infection from a hole in the bowel or a burst appendix.
The deceased Mumbere is said to be hailing from Kitsutsu village, Bukangara Parish in Munkunyu sub-county.
But Messiah Radio is reliably informed that the local council one Chairperson of the above village visited the dead body at the mortuary and did not recognize it.
It is therefore against this background that Bwambale is appealing to whoever could be having a missing person to come to the hospital mortuary before the facility management plans to bury the unclaimed body
