The Busongora County North Member of Parliament has reiterated the need for the people to uphold formal education as a tool for eliminating social evils among the residents in Kasese district.
Hon. Sowedi Kitanywa sounded the remarks today afternoon while addressing the parents at Nyabisusi Vocational Secondary School in Maliba Sub- County.
Kitanywa, who was delivering his personal contribution of thirty pieces of iron sheets to help the institution roof a two – classroom block, revealed that the rate at which some people commit social evils including witchcraft, theft and other forms of criminality is alarming.
This, according to him can only be eradicated through taking the children to schools to attain formal education, adding that it was why government introduced education for all.

The legislator observed the need for the learners to keep in schools and complete education to the desired levels so that they are able to favorably compete with their fellows in the job market.
The Kiruli I B village Chairperson, Mr. Saleri Mukulhameno lauded government for creating an environment suitable for the learning process in all schools in the area.
He, however, reported that most of the schools were still lacking other structures to accommodate staff so that they are relieved of trekking long distances.
Mr. Enos Byalemene, the Head Teacher at Nyabisusi Vocational Secondary School appealed to the legislator to lobby government to grant-aid the institution for improved services to the learners. ENDS
